Ethnobotany in the Santa Monica Mountains

Overview: This course is designed for outdoor educators to learn more about traditional plant use in the Santa Monica Mountains. Participants will gain knowledge of wild edibles, medicinal plants, and traditional plant uses and relationships to local flora. Participants will practice plant identification and will leave the course confident in their ability to deliver ethnobotanical knowledge to children.
