About the Event

Join us at Akuutet Learning Nursery to learn about implementing fire-resilient landscaping and home hardening practices for your own home. We will be taking a hike throughout Elyria Canyon Park to discuss the importance of fire fuel reduction as it relates to native habitat restoration. 

Meet up location: The Red Barn at Elyria Canyon Park, 1550 Bridgeport Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90065 at 9 am 

Weather:

We expect Elyria Canyon Park to be partly cloudy with high of 80° and low temperatures at 60° (subject to change), so please layer up with thin layers that can easily be added or removed (think of layers like an onion)!

What to Bring:

Reusable water bottle

Sun Protection (hat, sunblock, sunglasses)

Backpack to carry your belongings

Comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty

Snacks and refreshments will be available.
