Fire Resilience Community Workshop

Join Community Nature Connection (CNC) and the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains (RCDSMM) at Akuutet Learning Nursery to learn about implementing fire-resilient landscaping and home hardening practices for your own home. We will be taking a hike throughout Elyria Canyon Park to discuss the California's ecological resiliency to wildfire and curent climate change effects on fire frequency and intensity. Lunch will be provided, and you will have the opportunity to take home a California native plant!

Meet up location: Elyria Canyon Park Parking Lot, 1701 Wollam St., Los Angeles, CA 90065 at 10am

We expect Elyria Canyon Park to be partly cloudy with high of 72° and low temperatures at 64° (subject to change), so please layer up with thin layers that can easily be added or removed (think of layers like an onion)!
