About the Event
Join us at Elyria Canyon Park for a Habitat Restoration day! We will be planting fire-resistant California native plants including California Buckwheat, Narrowleaf Milkweed, California Fuchsia, and more! There will also be an ICE CREAM social after planting!
Meet up location: Elyria Canyon Park Parking Lot 1701 Wollam St, Los Angeles, CA 90065 at 8 am. We will be promptly hiking to the nursery at 8:10am. If you are arriving later than 8:10am, please feel free to park at the Wollam parking lot and follow the flags up to the nursery and be aware of poison oak on the trails (leaves of three, leave it be!).
What to Bring:
Reusable water bottle
Sun Protection (hat, sunblock, sunglasses)
Long sleeves/long pants to avoid touching poison oak on the trails
Backpack to carry your belongings
Comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty
Please layer up with thin, waterproof layers that can easily be added or removed (think of layers like an onion)!
