About the Event
Los Angeles is often thought of as a concrete jungle, but did you know that it’s also a biodiversity hotspot? The hotspot known as the California Floristic Province is home to almost 40,000 known species! Naturalists in LA county have recorded over 1.4 million observations of plants, insects, and wildlife (iNaturalist). From urban spaces, to woodlands, wetlands and beaches, there’s plenty of habitats to learn about and explore in Los Angeles. This training will provide you with the resources and information you need to confidently enhance your connection to the natural world, hidden throughout the city.
