Transit to Trails: "Redwoods" Storytime

Join us for a story time, lunch and a nature walk, as we take a trip to visit Franklin Canyon Park. We will be reading "Redwoods" by Jason Chin, as well as visiting some of the redwood trees within the park.

About the Event
This Transit to Trails trip will meet up at Los Angeles River Center & Gardens and head to Franklin Canyon Park for a fun-filled day including story time, a nature walk and lunch. Once we arrive at Franklin Canyon we will start with a story time reading at the Sooky Goldman Nature Center, followed by a short 30 minute nature walk down to Heavenly Pond to see the story happening in front of us. We will then take a break to have lunch down by the water's edge and then make our way back up to the Nature Center to close out the event. This program is great for families with children from 4-10 years old. This nature walk will be rated EASY and perfect for little explorers.
Lunch will be provided! If you have any dietary restrictions please include this in your registration.
What to bring:Â Wear closed toe shoes and bring water. Masks will be worn during this program.
Transportation and Destination Information:
The pick -up and drop off location will be the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens.
(570 W Avenue 26, Los Angeles, CA 90065) The pick-up time is 8:30-9AM and we will be returning to Los Angeles River Center and Gardens by 2PM.
The destination and final location of the program event is Franklin Canyon Park. (2600 Franklin Canyon Drive, Beverly Hills, CA, 90210)
