Welcome to the Community Nature Connection’s weekly virtual resources blog! 

 

At Community Nature Connection (CNC), we take pride in making nature accessible to everyone. Through programming and partnerships, we’ve been able to inspire the next generation of environmental advocates and encourage career pathways in our public parks. In this unprecedented time, we must continue this work virtually to ensure that nature education continues to excite the communities we serve. Thus, the CNC virtual resources blog has sprouted to bring the outdoors to your home! 

 

CNC hopes to provide teachers and home educators with an avenue to connect their students with the outdoors as well as provide professional development information to aspiring outdoor educators. Each week will showcase a different theme along with links, ideas for activities, free resources, and videos that have been created by our partners and virtual organizations. Additionally, each post will be linked to NGSS curriculum to ensure that students are maximizing their science learning! We will also post relevant volunteer, job, and educational opportunities that can help folx add skills and experiences to their outdoor education toolbelt.

 

It’s important for us to come together and support one another. Nature benefits our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being and we must utilize the resources we have to stay connected.
